iPaper.ai in ChatGPT
Find published iPapers, open their interactive explanations and explore the ideas in your conversation. An iPaper is an interactive paper. The iPaper.ai plugin is provided by Andrea Bertoncini.
Find and explore
Search the public iPaper.ai catalog by topic, author, DOI or source keywords. Read an iPaper’s explanation and original-paper citation, or follow the link to its interactive experience on iPaper.ai. The public plugin works without an iPaper.ai sign-in.
Private explorer preview
In the private preview, ask for a new interactive visual about a concept, or choose a concept in the viewer. ChatGPT creates the visual in your conversation; iPaper.ai saves it as a private branch. Revisit saved stops through the trail without generating them again.
Published originals and private branches
The viewer labels the published original and generated private branches separately. A private branch does not change or publish the original iPaper. Generated visuals can contain errors and simplified assumptions. Citations do not establish independent verification or source-author approval; check the original paper for the evidence and scope of its claims.

Scope and access
The plugin searches the public iPaper.ai catalog. It does not search all scientific literature, retrieve private creator drafts, create a new iPaper from a PDF or DOI, or publish a private branch. Creating and publishing an iPaper are separate workflows on iPaper.ai.
The private explorer preview uses OpenAI-managed authentication. Private trails are tied to that authenticated identity. Reopening a saved trail also requires its original public source release to remain available and unchanged.
